Lot 52. 60+ Pittsburgh Steelers Autographs on Index Cards, First-Day Covers, Photos. All but a few of the signatures are mint 9s and gem mint 10. The signatures on index cards are: Dick Alban, Fred Anderson, Bill Austin, Lou Baldacci, Warren Bankston, Fred Blatz, Ernie “Bull” Bonelli, Pat Brady, Jim “Popcorn” Brandt, Darrel “Pete” Brewster, Tom Brown (2, one personalized), Fred Bruney (pers.), Bill Butler, Paul Cameron, Chuck Cherundolo, Eugene Chick Cichowski, Art Davis (pers.), Art DeCarlo, Darrell Dess, Dale Dodrill (3), Bullet Bill Dudley, Leo Elter, Sid Fournet, Gary Glick, Riley Gunnels, Ron Hall, Bob Harrison (pers.), Dick Hensley, Claude Hipps, Gene Hubka, George Hughes, Ralph Jecha, Roy Jefferson (pres.), Rex Johnston, John Kapele, Ed Kissell, Joe Krupa, Dick Tomlinson, Bill Walsh and Al “Ox” Wistert. Most of these players wore Steelers uniforms in the 1940s-50s. Jack Butler signed a wire photo, and the signatures of Dale Dodrill and Ray Mathews are on a reproduction photo, Gary Glick signed an original late 1950s photo that shows him intercepting a pass intended for Cleveland’s Preston Carpenter, who also signed, and later played for Pittsburgh. The signature of “Bullet Bill” Dudley is on a newspaper cartoon. Ray Mathews and Jack Butler signed notes. A 1984 first-day cover picturing Jim Thorpe has signatures of John Henry Johnson, Bill Dudley and Dan Rooney. IDL Drug Store cards from 1963 carry the signatures of Joe Krupa and Brady Keys (pers.). Other signatures are: Dan Rooney on an oversized postcard, Gerry “Moon” Mullins on a 5” x 7” photo and Brady Keys on a small promotional photo (pers.). There are business cards signed by Dale Dodrill, Gary Glick, Riley Gunnels, Roy Jefferson, Paul Martha, Jack McClairen, Buzz Nutter and Andy Russell. BONUS: 16 unsigned cards featuring Steelers. 1963 IDL Brown, Tracy. 1978 Sportscaster #37-17 Swann (3). 1979 Sportscaster #65-24 Harris.
